The Apartment

A spacious 6 person (77sqm) split level apartment, situated on the 3rd floor of a new redsidence in the village of Villeneuve, Serre Chevalier France. It faces south with views of the mountains and valley. It is fully equipped and newly furnished. 200m from the main lift station. Less than 40 meters to shops and restaurants.

First Floor

    Seating area with sofa, easy chairs, coffee table, radio/CD,TV & DVD player.
    Dining area with extendable table and 6 chairs.
    Kitchen area, stainless steel sink, dishwasher, 4 point electric hot plate, oven, kettle, fridge/freezer and microwave.

The Resort

Serre Chevalier provides an ideal conbination: a Southern Alps resort with north-facing slopes. So if you are looking for high altitude sking, plenty of sunshine (more than 300 sunshine days per year), good snow conditions, value for money and spectacular scenery, then you will be more than satisfied. The resort sprawls across four villages linked by 250kms of superb piste, off-piste powder bowls for the adventurous, an efficient lift system (76 lifts) and a regular bus service.

The picturesque alpine village of Villeneuve within the heart of the Grand Serre Che attracts skiers of all nationalities and abilities. It is "Highly Recommended" by the Which? Ski Guide and has the benefit of three high speed lifts, allowing quick access to all areas of the ski domain. The ski and snowboard schools, employ over 300 instructors (many of whom speak English); there are also other specialist schools and guides. The ski pass also allows access to the Italian ski resort of Mongenevre (25 minutes by car).

Children
- Le Schtroumphs is a crèche facility for children aged 6 months to 6 years and is open from 9am to 3pm.
- There is also a dedicated ski area and instruction for children from the age of 4 years, operating from 9:30 am to 12 pm

Apres Ski
The local ski bus runs until 6pm enabling you to visit all the villages and sample their individual apres-ski activities. In Villeneuve itself, there are several bars and restaurants to choose from. A night out to the fortified medieval town of Briançon (15 mins along the valley) with its cobbled streets, shops, bars and restaurants must not be missed.

Travel

Ryanair fly from London Stansted (1hr 40mins) - British Airways from Gatwick (1hr 30mins) to Turin Italy which it just two and a half hours from the resort. You can hire a car or organise a transfer (approx £60 per person return).

If you plan to drive its a ten hour hop from Calais to the resort.

You can let the train take the strain with the Eurostar changing at Lille or Paris then onto Briancon 15 mins from Serre Chevalier.

Serre Chevalier tourist office have a quite a good site with web cams and piste maps.
